What will my Family photo session look like?

My goal with family sessions is simple: capture your family, just as you are, in this moment of time. So, expect a mix of those picture-perfect posed shots and lots of real moments—hugs, tickles, and maybe even some impromptu dance parties (no judgment). I’ll make sure to get some whole family shots as well as individual ones. We’ll usually meet at a local park, and lucky for us, Montgomery County, Maryland and DC have tons of beautiful spots! I have a few favorite places, but I’m also happy to work with any location you’ve got in mind.

Sessions typically last about an hour (or until the kiddos are done, and we all know that can happen fast!). The best time for photos is usually either an hour or two after sunrise or right before sunset—basically, when the light is magical, not harsh. The exact timing will depend on the season.
