New Baby Brother {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

This was my third session with this family. They originally hired me two years ago when their first child was born. They wanted to gift the new grandparents photo sessions with the baby. They did this again this time as their new son surprised them a few weeks early. He was just as great of a photo subject as his big sister and it was great to capture 3 generations of family together.

Family Love {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

I could already tell how much love this little guy already had. He had nursery decorations made by his cousins, a cute quote "I Love you More than Applesauce" which was something his mom always heard when she was a baby, and he had another grandma visiting. This not so tiny bundle of joy was soaking it all in.

Welcome Little Guy! {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

This mom contacted me after finding my information online. After I gave her my mailing address we realized we actually live 2 doors apart! I was very excited to meet this little guy and my new neighbor. He is sweet and curious and aced his first photo session. I look forward to watching him grow!

A New Family {Washington DC Family Photography}

I'm so glad this family contacted me to capture their new son. They had a beautiful home with a very bright guest room that made the perfect backdrop to the photo session. This little guy was so happy to look right at the camera and will make a wonderful future model! One of my favorite shots from the session was one of our last shots when the cat was checking her new brother out. I look forward to watching this sweet family grow.

New Baby New Home {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

I already knew baby Z's parents but it was exciting to see this new family of three in their new home in DC. They had barely unpacked before she arrived but were happily settling into their new routine at only one week. She slept during the entire session and even when we tried to wake her to get one photo of her eyes, it could barely be done. I hope she always sleeps so soundly for them!

A New Baby Girl {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

I loved photographing sweet baby J in her Northern Virginia home. Her parents have designed a beautiful nursery and have a beautiful home but when she was fussy we decided to go outside and capture her  outdoors as well. Thanks for a wonderful morning!

The Little Miracle Boy

This not-so-little newborn was very much wanted by his parents. You could tell how much they already adore him by the way they marveled at his ever coo. They have one of the most light-filled apartments I've ever seen in DC and it was a pleasure to photograph them in it. He was a doll, sleeping through almost the entire session. Congratulations on your new little miracle!

Sleeping Baby {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

There were so many things I loved about this session. The first is obviously the star of the show, sweet baby A. He slept literally the entire time I was there and could not have been better behaved for his first photo session. Of course in close second came his friendly and sweet parents. They have created a beautiful nursery full of natural light and I can tell what wonderful parents they already will be. I am not usually into props and stuffed animals but I am so glad we did this last shot with the stuffed animals. All credit goes to his mom on this one! Thanks for these great shots baby A!

Hello World {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

This is sweet baby H. I was very excited to meet him since I knew his parents before they even knew each other. He already has these big blue eyes which he was kind enough to show off only for the first few minutes and then went quietly to sleep for almost the rest of our time together. He already seemed so comfortable in his new home and I can't wait to watch him grow.

Two Weeks New {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

I loved meeting this sweet family. Little baby L was so well behaved, he barely made a peep the entire session. His parents have created a beautiful nursery for him in their apartment and his fur brother was also an enthusiastic participant. This whole group was so calm, I was able to capture their love and adoration for their new little guy.
