One Year Old {Washington DC Family Photographer}

This little boy is already one. His first year has flown by and his mom wanted to make sure to capture him at this fun and sweet age. He is just on the verge of his first steps so it was fun to watch him explore the beautiful gardens on an early June morning.

10 Days New {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This little guy covered the whole gamut of newborn activities while I was there. He was asleep, awake, got changed a few times, and was in all of his newborn glory. He is lucky to have a beautiful brightly lit nursery to come home to and two fun and loving parents.

Eight Months of Fun {Washington DC Family Photographer}

This mom found me on instagram and reached out to get photos of her new baby. Because we had already missed the tiny new newborn stage she asked what age I recommend. Whenever people post newborn ask me this I always say 7-8 months. This is when they are usually sitting up independently and can interact more but can not yet crawl and run away. A real sweet spot! I am so glad she waited-I think these are well worth it.

Two Year Old Boy {DC Family Photographer}

This is my fourth photo session with sweet little B and he brought his A game like he always does. We have tried another DC location but I was glad we came back to these beautiful gardens and he seemed pretty happy too. He was a particularly smiley baby and that seemed to last into his toddler years. Happy 2nd birthday B!

New Guy on Capitol Hill {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This little guy and his parents were such wonderful photo subjects. Once we got him all full and comfortable he was a great little model. We were able to get some shots of him and his pup too! This guy gave us lots of little smiles as a bonus! Thanks for such a wonderful session.

This Girl is Two {Washington DC Family Photographer}

This little girl has always been such a fun photo subject. I captured her as a sleep newborn and then again as a smiley one year old. Just as I had imagined she was still full of smiles and fun. We had a crisp morning at Yards Park and all family members were real troopers!

Fun Family in Shaw {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I loved this photo session. It was the first time I had done a session in Blagden Alley and it is now one of my favorite Washington DC locations for family photo sessions! I lucked out with this sweet family complete with this silly toddler-who was quite excited by every truck and car that came through!

Arlington's Newest Lady {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This newborn session in Arlington was pretty close to perfect. They had a beautiful colorful nursery, a sweet new baby girl who did not make a peep, and an adorable dog. Oh and great parents too! I love all of these photos but at the end we took pictures of the baby in a bassinet that had been used by her mom! Loved all of these.

At Home on Capitol Hill {Washington DC Family Photographer}

When I talked with this Mom about doing a family session, she suggested her home on Capitol Hill. While I am sometimes hesitant to do an at home family session since many Washington DC Families do not have very big or versatile outdoor spaces, I’m so glad we did this one! We lucked out with a very mild January afternoon and these kids both have killer smiles!

Little Boy Big World {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This little baby boy was welcomed to his home in Petworth but his well-traveled parents. The travel themed nursery was absolutely beautiful and I loved this amazing book room attached. This little baby wasn’t the only star of the show-their particularly friendly cat also loved to be included and I’m glad we were able to get some photos with him too!
