New Baby Brother {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

I often get notes from parents worrying about how their older children will cooperate during a newborn session. I tell them not to worry-I want to capture them in their true way just as I want to capture the newborn in all their authentic newborn way. I think I was able to do this with this sweet DC family!

Two Weeks of Baby Boy {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

Like so many new parents in Washington DC, these new parents were unsure if they should do newborn photos. Its hard to get yourself and your home together and feel your best so soon after giving birth. And I totally understand this. However I am so glad they did these photos and so were they! They now will have these forever to remember these days that are a blur. I am so glad they’ll have these forever.

Their Baby Boy {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This family was so wonderful. They had a beautiful DC apartment on Capitol Hill filled with family heirlooms and beautiful art to welcome their sweet baby boy. I am so glad I could capture this time for them while this little one is still small.

New Baby Sister {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

Two adorable girls and a bright beautiful nursery in DC. This made for a wonderful newborn session. Big sister stole the show and was happy to show me her tricks. I loved meeting this family.

Outdoor City Newborn Session {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

During COVID-19 I had to get creative in where I did newborn sessions. This family still wanted to capture this special and exciting time however we decided to do photos on their front steps to be safe.

New Baby Girl {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

Like many newborn sessions during 2020, this one was quite delayed but I’m so glad we were able to capture this still small little lady in her early months. Her parents have a beautiful well-lit apartment that was the perfect backdrop to capture this new family of three.

Family of Five {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

I met this family in the fall for family photos and was so excited to meet their newest member-a little girl! She is the perfect addition to the family. She was calm and alert and was able to withstand the pokes and hugs of her big brothers. I love seeing this family grow.

Late Newborn Session {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

Well beginning in March, to cancel all sessions. While everyone was understanding, I felt especially bad for all the newborn parents who missed out in getting photographs of those first days. I was happy we were able to do “newborn” photos for this family even when she was no longer a newborn. It was nice to catch her as a 3 month old when she could smile a bit and interact more. This was a great reintroduction into newborn sessions.

Bright Baby Girl {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This newborn session was a breeze. They had a beautiful dreamy well-lit nursery and guest room where we did most of the photos and the baby barely made a peep! These parents were hesitant about doing a session so soon after they came home however at the end of the session they expressed how easy it was and how grateful they were to have photos of their first baby as a tiny newborn.

New Baby Sister {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

I loved this family. They had a beautiful well-lit gorgeous house in Washington DC and two adorable children. Have you ever seen a smile as cute as this big brother’s? And baby sister slept throughout our entire session. These two moms were easy and flexible making this newborn session a pleasure.
