A Sleepy Babe {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

While I was very excited to meet this little guy, apparently he was happy to sleep through our whole session together. These new DC parents were very relaxed. Perhaps that has rubbed off on their little guy since we could not get him to open his beautiful little eyes until the last 2 minutes I was there! I loved seeing this new family of three plus their gorgeous pup!

Family of Four {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

I was so excited to see this family again. I met them when this big sister was just a newborn and she is now a fun and special toddler. There are so many DC families that I have gotten to watch grow over the years-from newborn to big kid. She is always lots of fun and I know her brother will catch up to her soon enough. Thanks M family for a beautiful session in their new home.

Five Day Old Baby Girl {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

These new parents get the reward for ā€œpulling it together the fastestā€. Their sweet baby girl was only 5 days old when I came to photograph her. She was calm and alert the whole time-I barely heard a peep. They had a beautiful well-lit nursery which was a beautiful backdrop for our photos. What a wonderful morning.

Sweet Baby Boy {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This little boy got an A+ for his first newborn session. He lives in a well-lit apartment with his parents in Washington DC. He was the perfect combo-alert and calm. We were even able to get a few photos on his balcony. I hope he continues to be so calm and sweet.

New Baby Brother {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

I often get notes from parents worrying about how their older children will cooperate during a newborn session. I tell them not to worry-I want to capture them in their true way just as I want to capture the newborn in all their authentic newborn way. I think I was able to do this with this sweet DC family!

Two Weeks of Baby Boy {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

Like so many new parents in Washington DC, these new parents were unsure if they should do newborn photos. Its hard to get yourself and your home together and feel your best so soon after giving birth. And I totally understand this. However I am so glad they did these photos and so were they! They now will have these forever to remember these days that are a blur. I am so glad theyā€™ll have these forever.

Their Baby Boy {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This family was so wonderful. They had a beautiful DC apartment on Capitol Hill filled with family heirlooms and beautiful art to welcome their sweet baby boy. I am so glad I could capture this time for them while this little one is still small.

New Baby Sister {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

Two adorable girls and a bright beautiful nursery in DC. This made for a wonderful newborn session. Big sister stole the show and was happy to show me her tricks. I loved meeting this family.

Outdoor City Newborn Session {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

During COVID-19 I had to get creative in where I did newborn sessions. This family still wanted to capture this special and exciting time however we decided to do photos on their front steps to be safe.

New Baby Girl {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

Like many newborn sessions during 2020, this one was quite delayed but Iā€™m so glad we were able to capture this still small little lady in her early months. Her parents have a beautiful well-lit apartment that was the perfect backdrop to capture this new family of three.
