Photographing Sweet baby H was quite the treat. Not only is she simple adorable, she has a beautiful nursery and two very loving parents (and grandparents) who simple adore her. I loved how she simple curled up into her parents. She definitely feels comfortable being close to them. We snuck in a few shots when we were done on her gorgeous porch and hopefully everyone got a nap afterwards! I look forward to watching sweet little H grow!
While many parents want to capture their brand new newborns, I often get emails from Washington DC Parents saying something along the lines of "we weren't quite ready for photos in those first few weeks but still want to capture our little one while they are still so little". This month I did two 6 week sessions because of this. These babies are a little more alert, a little more round, and this is still a wonderful time to capture them. I loved meeting baby S. She had a beautiful well lit nursery and two loving parents to assist in making her photo session so great.
When this new mom contacted me she said what so many new moms in DC say to me "we weren't planning on doing newborn photos but once we saw him, we knew we just had to". These are the photos any newborn photographer wants to capture-the moments that take the parents breath away and you know they'll want to remember for many years.
This guy-all six weeks and 17 pounds-was absolutely adorable. His cherubic face and mellow personality made him a pleasure to photography. His parents are obviously smitten with him and it is very obvious why. How could you not want to hold and hug that little guy all day? I loved meeting this darling family of three and I cannot wait to watch this little guy grow.
People always ask me if I think all newborns all look the same. Of course the answer is no, especially not in the eyes of their parents. But this little guy such a unique look with his gorgeous blue eyes and beautiful blonde hair. He had a gorgeous blue nursery in a stars theme do compliment this. All of these made for one of my favorite DC newborn sessions. Thanks for letting me come capture you little L!
This little girl was a dream for this newborn session. She was literally...dreaming. She slept for almost the entire session despite how many times we moved her/changed her clothes. She was so easy and you could tell how content she was. Her parents are very lucky. Having a gorgeous nursery and two very loving parents helps as well! She had a beautiful outfit on which her dad had bought for her-his first baby shopping experience! I look forward to watching this sweet little girl grow and hopefully she continues to be as good of a sleeper as she was that day!
This little boy already has a great life. He has two parents who love him and a sister dog who already watches over him like a third parent. A beautiful apartment in Arlington and more baby clothes than he could ever need. What more could he want? I knew his parents long before he was born and already know that they're well prepared for the job. Welcome sweet baby A to this wonderful world!
This is definitely one the best behaved newborns I have photographed. She lives with her loving parents in Glover Park and they have of course fallen in love with her. She is a little older than most of my newborn sessions-she was already a month old by the time I got to photograph her. But she still has the soft skin and curious eyes of a newborn with a little weight on her. Her mom created a beautiful nursery and I love the yellow sheets behind her beautiful skin. She never cried the entire time and was cooperative with anything we wanted. She was a pleasure and I can't wait to watch her grow!
Sometimes you walk into a house with a newborn and everything is silent. The parents are whispering, the baby is sleeping soundly, and I feel like I should talk in a hushed town. Not in the W house. As soon as I got there, two year old big brother was talkative and friendly. He was interested in his little brother but only for a few short minutes before he was off to the next adventure. His little brother, though small in size, already had a large presence in this family. He has a gorgeous head of hair and a calm demeanor which makes for a perfect match. This newborn session was definitely one of my favorites. It took me a whole 3 minutes to walk there as this little guy conveniently lives two blocks down the street from me. They have loads of natural light and he was so easy to photography. His parents are already smitten with him and he is definitely the star of the show. I look forward to watch this sweet little guy grow up and hopefully seeing him around the neighborhood. Thanks for letting me capture this special time with new baby H!
