Beautiful Morning at Home {Washington DC Family Photography}

This was one of my favorite fall sessions this year. Not only is this family wonderfully photogenic but they also had a beautiful backyard that served as our background. Both girls were so fun to play with and I hope I was able to capture their sweet spirits!

Mom and Dad to Be! {Washington DC Maternity Photographer}

We really lucked out with this session. It was an unseasonably warm day in October and the rains that had been non-stop briefly took a break so we get get these beautiful pictures of these two parents to be! We had almost the whole park to ourselves and were able to take advantage of all the beautiful sights. Can’t wait to meet their little lady.

Double the Fun {Washington DC Family Photography}

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll recognize these guys. This was my third year photographing this sweet family but my first year capturing their furry family member too. He was obviously a star and the boys both loved posing with him! See you next year S family!

New Little Lady {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

Sometimes parents email beforehand and ask if the baby should be asleep or awake while we do our newborn photos. This makes me laugh because they soon realize that when it comes to a 2 week old, you can’t control it! This little lady was sound asleep our entire session! I didn’t mind because I got to chat with her wonderful parents in their beautiful sunny apartment. Thanks for behaving so well little A!

Double the Love {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This session was definitely different than most of my newborn sessions as this was twin newborn boys! These parents had set up a beautiful nursery in Washington DC and I loved including their adorable pup in the photos as well. Halfway through our time together we were able to get both boys asleep and I love the photos of them in their dads arms. Can’t wait to see these two (four!) again!

Toddler in the Garden {Washington DC Family Photography}

I met this girl before she was even born. I first met her parents two years ago when we did a maternity session. I was then there again when she was a newborn photographing her in her home. So it was quite wonderful to see her as a full blown toddler. She had opinions and curiosity and of course smiles.

Two Weeks New {Bethesda Newborn Photography}

I loved meeting this little guy. His mom was not originally planning on doing newborn photos but once she met this sweet little guy how could she not? He was so great for our session he almost never woke up. After an hour together his mom and dad tried to get him to wake up-changed his diaper, took him outside, etc. He’s such a great sleeper he wanted to show off his skills! Hope he continues to be so sweet and easy!

This is One {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I met this little guy last year when he was a mere week old! He was sweet and I even got the elusive newborn smile from him so I knew we’d be good friends. I was so happy when his mom contacted me to capture him at this stage following his first birthday. He is now mostly toddler-eager to explore but still with that sweet smile. Happy first birthday to one of DC’s cutest babes!

Baby Makes Five {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

This new little baby is already so loved. Not only does he have two wonderful and kind parents but he has two very enthusiastic siblings. Newborn sessions are so different when there are older siblings. They are not quite as calm and serene but they also add a lot of humor and fun. And these two were no different. Thanks for a wonderful morning!

Family of Four {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I was so glad this mom got in touch with me in August. She wanted to get some family photos of her sweet family of four. These kids were rockstars and were happy to giggle at my silly antics and follow directions. Though I knew I had worn them out when this four year old literally laid on the ground at the end declaring “I’m tired”. That is how every photo session should end!
