A Brisk Morning in Old Town {Washington DC Family Photography}

I met this family a year and a half ago when mom was just pregnant with the one year old you see here. During that session, big brother was super shy-not wanting to smile until the very end. Well a year and a half made a big difference in both boys. It was great to see how much they had both grown and was a very different experience full of fun and laughter and singing.

One Year Later {Washington DC Family Photography}

This was one of those sessions I look back on and think that was so easy and fun. This was one of the happiest one years olds I've ever met and at this point I've met my fair share of one year olds. I had met her and her parents a year ago when I took their newborn pictures. That tiny little newborn has grown into such a sweet and happy little girl. We had a beautiful not too cold afternoon at Bishop's Garden. I hope this little lady continues to be so happy-Happy First Birthday!

Warm Winter Day {Washington DC Family Photography}

Wow-we really lucked out! While usually January in Washington DC is very cold and no one would want to be outside more than you have to, this crazy weather we've had this year actually gave us a not too bad January afternoon. I loved capturing these dear friends and their spunky toddler. She quickly warmed up to the camera and was happy to play. Can't wait to meet their new little one soon!

Final Fall Family {Washington DC Family Photography}

This sweet family was the perfect sendoff to 2017. Their adorable toddler kept us all on our toes but was full of smiles and giggles. She showed me all of her tricks, we kicked a soccer ball, went on Dad's shoulders, and even played hide and seek. I was glad she was so comfortable in front of the camera and such a fun photo subject!

One Year Old {Washington DC Baby Photography}

I loved meeting this family and one of DC's newest toddlers. He just turned one and was full of toddler curiosity and energy. He was very busy during out session running around and exploring and I am glad I was able to capture his curious personality. And of course who could not love those gorgeous blue eyes?

Fun Family Down South {Washington DC Family Photography}

This is one of my oldest friends and her family. I love photographing them when I go down to visit family in Atlanta over Thanksgiving. She has two adorable and energetic kids who are more than happy to run around and giggle. I love watching them grow.

This is Two {Washington DC Family Photography}

This is one of those families that I have had the pleasure of watching them grow. I met Mom and Dad when we did their maternity session and then got to photograph this little lady at her newborn session and now again that she is a full blown toddler. We lucked out with this fall weather and even when it started to rain it didn't stop the M family from having fun. Eventhough it took her a few minutes to warm up I was able to capture her sweet personality. I look forward to continuing to watch her grow!

A Morning in Navy Yard {Washington DC Family Photography}

This was one of my favorite photo sessions this year. I love finding new locations around DC to shoot in. Because a lot of the federal lands require permits, its sometimes hard to find good spots. Well this is definitely one of them. These kids were full of energy, full of personality, and didn't seem to mind the cold! I hope I was able to capture their fun energy.

Afternoon on Capitol Hill {Washington DC Family Photography}

I met this sweet family last fall to capture their little guy's first photos. He was not quite as generous with his smiles last year but he also couldn't run away as fast. We lucked out with beautiful afternoon light and were able to capture this little guy in all of his fun toddler ways.

Fall Family Fun {Washington DC Family Photography}

This was one of my favorite sessions this fall. Two beautiful kids with laid back parents and beautiful fall weather to support all of this. What more could a photographer want? One of the best moments of this session is when toddler brother gave his sister a real and genuine hug, unprompted! Glad we were able to capture these little ones (and their parents) at such a fun age!
