An Afternoon with Big Kids {Washington DC Family Photographer}

As you’ll see around here, most of my family sessions involve little ones. This means I play a lot of peek-a-boo and do a lot of silly noises-anything to get a big smile! But this session was so refreshing after a packed weekend full of toddler sessions. Older kids don’t require silly noises and this family brought this adorable and well-behaved doodle to keep us all entertained! Thanks for the lovely afternoon.

Little Guy Big World {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

I see a lot of nurseries but this one was one of my favorites. His parents have obviously traveled the world and incorporated that into this awesome space. This little guy was so good for our session-alert and awake and just enjoying being in his parents arms. They even had some fun costumes we put him in at the end-some he liked more than others! What a sweet little guy.

Winter Morning in the Garden {Washington DC Family Photographer}

We lucked out on this November morning. I have photographed this family a handful of times before but never at one of my favorite and most popular locations-Bishop’s Garden in Washington DC. This garden really works in all seasons and is truly one of DC’s best hidden gems. Its always fun to take pictures there-thanks for a fun morning!

Beautiful Morning in Rock Creek Park {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I loved meeting this sweet family of three for a family photo session. Despite the cold temperature that morning, this little guy was fun and playful. He especially loved a good game of peek-a-boo and looking around at all the beauty of Rock Creek Park. I love the images we got of this sweet family.

An Early Arrival {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

This little guy was so eager to meet his parents he arrived a month early. Even with an early arrival, his parents were so calm and comfortable. I loved how many smiles he gave me. I consider myself lucky to get one newborn smile and this guy was non-stop! What a fun newborn session.

One Very Chilly DC Morning {Washington DC Family Photography}

This family might get the award for being my toughest family this fall season. This afternoon was extremely cold-so cold that my morning session was canceled. But this mom said they were tough and could handle it and she was right. All 5 family members shivered through this session and kept smiling despite the frigid temperatures! I loved seeing this family for our third photo session together-see you next year R family!

Two Moms and a Baby {Washington DC Newborn Photographer}

I loved meeting this sweet DC Family. While this little guy was older than most of my newborn clients he was still sweet and sleepy while we were together. But the fun of a three month old is that he was also generous with his smiles. I loved seeing the bond between him and his moms.

Beautiful Morning at Home {Washington DC Family Photography}

This was one of my favorite fall sessions this year. Not only is this family wonderfully photogenic but they also had a beautiful backyard that served as our background. Both girls were so fun to play with and I hope I was able to capture their sweet spirits!

Mom and Dad to Be! {Washington DC Maternity Photographer}

We really lucked out with this session. It was an unseasonably warm day in October and the rains that had been non-stop briefly took a break so we get get these beautiful pictures of these two parents to be! We had almost the whole park to ourselves and were able to take advantage of all the beautiful sights. Can’t wait to meet their little lady.

Double the Fun {Washington DC Family Photography}

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll recognize these guys. This was my third year photographing this sweet family but my first year capturing their furry family member too. He was obviously a star and the boys both loved posing with him! See you next year S family!
