A New Little Lady {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

I loved meeting this little lady a few weeks ago. She had a beautiful well lit nursery and two very loving parents. Her parents are both teachers so are already well quipped with patience and a love for kids. She is one lucky girl. After a few eating breaks we finally got a few minutes of her sleeping. And I swiftly (and silently) was able to catch these sweet photos of her in her crib. I loved meeting this little girl and can't wait to watch her grow.

Two Parents to Be! {Washington DC Maternity Photography}

These two are expecting their first baby in January. We met on a chilly afternoon in December but these two were troopers hiking around Meridian Hill Park. They don't know the sex or name of this baby yet but I know this baby will be well loved. They are both so calm and sweet, I'm sure they'll make wonderful parents. Congratulations S family!

Six Days New {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

This little lady was not even a week old when I met her. She was a perfect little photo subject, sleeping the entire session. I love photographing newborn in those first two weeks and this makes the sessions so calm. We did almost all of our sessions in her parents beautiful bedroom. Her canine siblings also made an appearance-I loved seeing how this new family fit together so well. I hope her parents get many more restful days (and nights).

Two Happy Brothers {Washington DC Family Photography}

These two boys were some of my favorite photo subjects all year. They were incredibly well behaved and were very prepared for our photo session by their dad who even "practiced" with them before hand. The promised reward of Starburst also helps! They were smiley and funny and very not shy at all. And these curls? Thank you R family for a fun session!

Fall Family of Four {Washington DC Family Photography}

I was traveling home to Atlanta for Thanksgiving this year and decided to lug my camera bag along. I would only do this for a few people, one of which is probably my oldest friend. She has two sweet kids and I was happy to photograph her and her beautiful family. Luckily my husband came along on this particular session which helped getting all the smiles and laughs. I was so glad I got to do this session in Atlanta.

One Year of Ms. A {Washington DC Family Photographer}

I loved this early morning fall session. Little Ms. A was full of personality and wonder. She is one of the best dressed toddlers I have seen (good job Mom!) and her sweaters perfectly complimented her bright red hair. I loved watching her toddle around the park and it was evidence how much her parents adore her.  Thanks for letting me capture this special time K family!

Little Ball of Energy {Washington DC Family Photography}

This was not my first session with this little boy. But he was definitely more boy now and less toddler than when I met him last year. He has lots to say and lots to explore which made him a perfect photography subject on this beautiful fall morning. I hope his new little sibling is just as fun as he is!

A New Little Man {Washington DC Newborn Photography}

This little boy was so well behaved. Considering how sweet his parents are, he met my expectations. He was very alert for being less than two weeks old and showed off his beautiful blue eyes. And I was even able to capture some sweet (and rare) newborn smiles while he laid on his daddy's chest. I loved meeting baby A and can't wait to watch him grow.

A Soon to Be Family of Four! {Washington DC Family Photographer}

This was a beautiful fall morning in Northern Virginia. And this was a perfect example of how many toddler sessions go. We start off at the beginning and I get a lot of black stares. This little guy was shy and reserved and none of jokes and tricks were working. But after some time (and some tickles) he suddenly opened up and was as playful as ever. And of course, by the time it was time to go home he was ready to play and run! I'm so glad I got to capture so many sides of this little boy!

Double Fun {Washington DC Family Photography}

What is more fun than one giggly adorable and energetic 6 year old? Two giggly adorable energetic 6 year olds! These boys were so much fun to photography. They contagious laughter made us all laugh and I loved their big smiles. They loved to hug each other and put their arms around each other-this was all them. I hope they always stay as sweet and giggly as they are now and their bond is always as strong.
